Adventurous types converge on Cradle Mountain to see the best adventure films from Tasmania and across the globe on the fringe of the Wilderness World Heritage Area from March 29-31 2019!

Now in its fifth year, the Cradle Mountain Film Festival is Tasmania’s only dedicated adventure film festival.

Making the most of our unique location, we screen films in the Forest Yurt Lounge and Cinema (set up for the festival in the bush), at the Cradle Mountain Hotel Wilderness Gallery, and in five remote mountain huts around Cradle Mountain.

The weekend program includes the Tasmanian exclusive screening of Mountainfilm on Tour; the One Year in Tasmania Adventure Film competition showcasing the many moods and adventures to be had on our little island in one year; kids' films; adventure film premieres in our Forest Yurt Lounge and Cinema; filmmaker's workshops and Q & A sessions; the Mountain Huts Film Trail: a free, self-guided walking program of screenings in the mountain huts around Cradle Mountain; the Dove Lake Classic Trail Run; and canyoning, yoga and cold water therapy in the wilderness, plus other workshops to be announced.

Join the local wildlife and people for some mountain culture and experience adventures in film at the stunning Cradle Mountain National Park. Seriously beautiful, boutique and adventurous!

CMFF is run by Cradle Mountain Canyons and is supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania in the Regional Events Start-up Program 2017-2019.

Enter your film featuring an adventure in Tasmania in the One Year in Tasmania Adventure Film competition for your chance to win up to $3000 in prizes and be screened at CMFF19
